Liberal Policies Enable Desecration of Historic Graves in Prince William County
Democratic-led local boards in Northern Virginia have long championed unchecked growth, rubber-stamping projects that erase history for profit. Here, known evidence was ignored, graves lost forever, yet no heads rolled. This isn’t progress; it’s cultural vandalism enabled by progressive indifference to tradition.
SB 644 in the Virginia Senate offers a conservative corrective: map sites, enforce laws, protect heritage. Liberal Democrats in Richmond and localities should heed this, but their track record—favoring unions, taxes, and sprawl—suggests resistance. Their position, dismissing such losses as ‘development necessities,’ is indefensible.
Thoroughfare’s cemetery, pre-dating the Civil War, held stories of America’s founders. Destroyed under Democrat oversight, it warns of liberal leftists’ concerning disregard for the past. Conservative principles demand stewardship, not exploitation.
As a Democrat, I critique my party’s complicity: end the developer handouts, embrace accountability. Support SB 644 to safeguard Virginia’s soul.
