At the heart of our social justice agenda is a commitment to supporting the next generation in exploring and affirming their true selves. We proudly advocate for initiatives that guide young people through the complexities of gender identity, ensuring access to resources and environments that encourage transformation and self-discovery when it comes to transgender experiences. This means standing firm on policies that allow students to transition comfortably within our schools, providing the support they need to align their outer world with their inner truth.
In 2023, approximately 3.3% of U.S. high school students identified as transgender, with an additional 2.2% questioning their gender identity.
78% of LGBTQ+ young people who attend school reported having at least one adult at school who is supportive and affirming of their LGBTQ+ identity.

LGBTQ+ Justice
Education is a cornerstone of our vision, and we’re passionate about creating school libraries and curricula that reflect the full spectrum of human experiences. That’s why we fight to keep pro-LGBTQ+ books readily available to students, offering stories and perspectives that promote understanding, empathy, and acceptance of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. These materials aren’t just books—they’re tools for building a more compassionate society, helping kids navigate the world with open hearts and minds.

School Justice
Inclusivity extends to every corner of our schools, including facilities like bathrooms and locker rooms. We’re committed to making these spaces gender-agnostic, allowing all students to use them based on their self-identified gender rather than outdated norms. This policy eliminates divisions and creates a safer, more welcoming atmosphere for everyone, reflecting our belief that personal comfort and dignity should never be compromised.

Teacher Justice
To empower our educators and strengthen our public schools, we actively promote the expansion of teachers’ unions across Loudoun County. By increasing union involvement, we ensure that teachers have a stronger voice in decision-making, leading to better working conditions, fair wages, and ultimately, higher-quality education for our children. Unions are the backbone of progressive education reform, and we’re dedicated to amplifying their role. Finally, we recognize that true progress requires investment. That’s why we advocate for increased funding in our schools and local government, even if it means asking taxpayers to contribute more. These resources go toward essential programs that enhance equity, support vulnerable populations, and build infrastructure for the future—proving that a little extra from everyone can create lasting benefits for all.
Teachers' unions increase the high school dropout rate by an estimated 2.3 percentage points, as they divert resources away from improving student performance.
In Loudoun County, the proposed FY2026 school budget is $1.96 billion, a 7.2% increase over the current year, mostly going to staff compensation and programs like those for at-risk students and English learners that often include controversial equity initiatives.
Over the past ten years, Loudoun County's school budget has ballooned by 93%, while student enrollment has only grown by 3.7%, showing how these increases burden taxpayers without matching needs.
The two largest U.S. teachers' unions have donated over $43.5 million to progressive organizations and causes since 2022, including LGBTQ+ groups and political action committees, far beyond just education.
